If you are using C2R installation package source, there is no "customize" nor "change" available - you must instead use the ODT.ģ. if you are using the MSI installation package source, you are offered the "customize" choice at install-time, and you get the "change" option via ARP. Yes, x86 Office is the default, this has always been the case for multi-architecture Office installers.Ģ. iso on MS website?! My serial is not VL and mostly is RTM or MSDN or like that.ġ. I have another iso downloaded which is a little different, it allows to install Office components but does not activate with my serial, and says that this is for a different edition, both are Pro Plus, maybe one is VL and one is something else!Ĥ. After installing this edition, how to uninstall some office apps? Add/Rem Programs > Change won't work!ģ. When install it on Windows 10 Enterprise 圆4, the Office 32 bit is installed! Strange! I expect the 64-bit to be installed!Ģ. I have the initial published 圆4 / x86 Office Pro Plus which forcefully installs all 9 Office Applications, after running setup.exe just a window opens and no any option / question is asked, the whole apps are installed! The C2R scenarios can be customised by using the Office Deployment Tool (ODT): įor C2R, setup.exe is doing the work (but it's a very different setup.exe compared to the MSI setup.exe)įor MSI scenarios (only valid for VL products), customisation can be done by the installing person, or, by pre-configuring a customisation file, generated with the Office Customisation Tool (OCT).įor Office2016, both C2R and MSI are still offered, as per Office2013 scenarios.ĭon So I checked properly under start menu and see if its working eventhough not listed under Programs and. Hi, we had a recent order from a client 4 units of Optiplex (sorry forgot the exact model). Traditionally (historically), Office installation uses a setup.exe which coordinates multiple MSI installation tasks. My only remaining problem is that I can customize the apps to be installed OR remove some after installation. My setup file is EXE not MSI, I don't know what's C2R or ODT, I just know this seems so stupid that all apps are installed without user permit and none of them can be uninstalled.
